About the Role
Uber Delivery encompasses Uber Eats, Grocery & Retail, and Uber Direct. In this role, you will recruit commercial talent and leadership positions across key EMEA markets, including high-growth territories like Germany.
This is not a role for passive application processors or order-takers. Instead, you will act as a proactive talent advisor - leveraging market intelligence to shape hiring decisions, managing candidate pipelines efficiently, and using AI tools to find top talent and improve processes.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Advisory & Market Intelligence: Are you an analytical thinker who uses market data to solve complex hiring challenges? Partner with business leaders during intake sessions to present real-world market intelligence, map target companies, and outline profile trade-offs to reach alignment quickly.
- Proactive Sourcing & AI Integration: Are you naturally curious about using tech to recruit smarter? Move beyond application queues by proactively sourcing commercial talent. Leverage generative AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean) and vibe coding tools to map talent pools, automate admin, and draft outreach.
- Efficient Capacity Management: Do you thrive when building efficient, repeatable ways of working? Manage ~15 active commercial requisitions simultaneously across different profiles and countries using strong daily prioritization and process discipline.
- Evidence-Based Assessment: Are you constantly looking for better ways to evaluate talent? Bring critical thinking to interview loops, guiding hiring managers to focus on objective evidence, challenge weak signals, and protect the candidate bar.
- Post-Hire Feedback & Optimization: Do you get energy from asking "how can we improve next time?" Review 90-day post-hire performance feedback with managers to refine future candidate profiles and optimize metrics like time-to-fill, conversion rates, and candidate experience.
What You’ll Need
- Commercial Recruitment Background: 6+ years experience managing full-lifecycle commercial searches from sourcing and referral management through to offer, in a fast-paced environment.
- Consultative Influence: Strong relationship-building skills to guide, advise, and challenge hiring managers effectively.
- Analytical & Solution-Oriented Mindset: High learning agility and critical thinking skills to evaluate data, adapt to change quickly, and solve hiring roadblocks.
- Organization & Discipline: Ability to balance ~15 concurrent searches without sacrificing quality, candidate experience, or operational rigor.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience coaching or mentoring fellow recruiters or hiring managers.
- Background hiring within a scaled, high-growth technology or commercial organization.
- Early adoption of generative AI tools to streamline day-to-day recruiting workflows.
