About the Role
The Global Safety and Platform Integrity team is pioneering how Uber manages safety contacts that contribute to Uber’s goal of providing world-class customer support through consistent review and investigation.
The North Asia Agent/Auditor supports two key Safety programs: Safety Data Auditing (SDA) and Customer Deactivation Reviews (CDR).
For Safety Data Auditing, the role is responsible for reviewing safety reports and accurately categorizing them according to Uber’s established standards and taxonomy. This includes evaluating customer support interactions to ensure the appropriate resolution was provided, required procedures were followed, and opportunities for quality and process improvement are identified.
For Customer Deactivation Reviews, the role reviews appeals from deactivated users to ensure decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with policy.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and critical thinker with a passion for investigation and process improvement. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, exercising sound judgment, and adapting across both audit and review workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Review and investigate safety reports and customer deactivation appeals across SDA and CDR.
- Accurately categorize safety reports using applicable Taxonomy, policies, and knowledge resources.
- Assess deactivation appeals to ensure decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with policy.
- Review available case information, exercise sound judgment, and thoroughly document findings and decisions.
- Complete assigned production audits/reviews, quality activities, and ad hoc tasks according to established priorities and timelines.
- Identify opportunities and provide feedback to improve quality, processes, and resources.
- Collaborate with teammates, SMEs, Team Leads, and stakeholders to meet individual and team goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when reviewing complex or sensitive cases.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under the pressure associated with high-severity safety cases.
- Strong sense of diligence, accountability, and teamwork.
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as Google Workspace/Google Sheets or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Safety, IRT, audit, investigation, or customer support experience.
- Experience identifying trends and recommending quality or process improvements.
- Experience working with and synthesizing data.

Proficiency in an additional North Asia language, such as Mandarin or Korean.
