About the role

We are looking for a strategic, highly organized, and collaborative Head of Marketing Operations, US & Canada to serve as the operational backbone of one of Uber's most important regions.

Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing Operations, you will partner closely with the Head of US & Canada Marketing and regional leadership team to ensure the organization operates effectively at scale. Acting as the region's operational lead, you will translate business priorities into clear operating plans, drive cross-functional execution, manage regional budgets, and continuously improve how the organization plans and delivers work.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, operations, finance, and execution. Success requires exceptional organizational leadership and executional excellence, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to manage stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the strategic operations partner to the Head of US & Canada Marketing, translating business priorities into clear operating plans and execution roadmaps.
  • Lead the regional marketing operating model, including planning processes, governance, operating rhythms, decision forums, and cross-functional ways of working.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve collaboration, and remove operational friction across the marketing organization.
  • Partner with Global Marketing Operations and regional peers to implement global operating frameworks while ensuring they effectively support regional business needs.
  • Partner with Finance and Marketing Leadership to manage regional marketing investments, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and investment governance.
  • Lead operational planning for major marketing initiatives, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, timelines, dependencies, and delivery.
  • Champion adoption of global marketing tools, technologies, and operational standards, while providing feedback that informs future improvements.
  • Develop reporting and business reviews that provide leadership with clear visibility into priorities, execution progress, risks, and organizational performance.
  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to enable efficient decision-making and execution.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability across the regional marketing organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, strategy & operations, program management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional programs or marketing operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to connect the dots across multiple initiatives, identifying patterns and trends to drive improvement opportunities and operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and improving operating models, planning processes, and organizational governance at scale.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, investment planning, or resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across highly matrixed global organizations.
  • Proven track record leading large, ambiguous initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Experience working within a global, in-house marketing organization is strongly preferred.

For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
