Rate of Pay: $237,682 to $285,218 per Year

What you’ll do

  • Help design and launch global CommOps strategies for customer support, including running analysis and developing strategic insights into region- and function-spanning projects that enable Uber Leadership’s decision-making.
  • Help identify opportunities in our processes and operating models, and support strategic projects aimed at making improvements with global impact.
  • Scope new opportunities across verticals & industries, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Develop executive-level communications and presentations for Uber’s leadership to drive key stakeholder alignment and communicate how projects and recommendations are connected to larger customer support goals.
  • Provide thought leadership on problems without precedent by setting strategic priorities, aligning the vision, and sharing best practices.
  • Design and lead collaborative working models with other teams across CommOps and Uber.
  • May telecommute.

Basic Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Consulting, Strategy or related field, and 3 years of experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Position requires:
    • Identify, scope, design and operationalize global cross-functional strategies by identifying market, competitive & customer trends to drive measurable impact on company objectives & metrics across diverse regulatory environments and regional market nuances (e.g., US&C, EMEA, LatAm, and APAC);
    • Own strategic initiatives end-to-end with full accountability, utilizing relationship development, coordination, and business judgment critical thinking skills to garner support for projects, develop recommendations, and execute globally;
    • Apply logical business frameworks (MECE, RCA, SWOT analysis, or benchmarking), techniques and sound business judgment to interpret ambiguous business signals and make key strategic recommendations for business problems spanning multiple global functions and regions;
    • Own ongoing internal/external cross-functional stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making through structured & unstructured forums like workshops, summits & leadership forums;
    • Drive consensus and collaborative decision-making across multiple teams in a highly matrixed organization (Product, Finance, HR) by utilizing governance & team management frameworks like RACI models to inspire ownership, reduce ambiguity and improve decision-making;
    • Proactively and independently direct complex programs with multiple simultaneous workstreams by managing interdependencies, resource allocation, risk/bottleneck mitigation strategies & trade-offs through the use of enterprise project management tools (Google docs/sheets, Lucid/Miro, or Jira), detailed work plans, structured communication and project management techniques (Gantt Charts, RAPID decision-making framework, or Red/Yellow/Green status updates), ensuring on time and within budget delivery in a fast-paced environment;
    • Construct sophisticated business cases & financial models, like return-on-investment (ROI), break-even, lifetime value (LTV), cost-benefit, sensitivity and scenario analysis, to evaluate the viability of new business opportunities and forecast the impact of strategic shifts on return on investment, metrics & project financials;
    • Analyze & synthesize insights from a combination of quantitative (e.g., business metrics) and qualitative (e.g., user research, competitive research, sentiment data) data sets using tools like SQL, Google Sheets, Tableau or Excel (ability to independently run complex modelling, pivot tables, queries and data visualizations) to identify key performance trends & operational inefficiencies and drive actionable executive-level recommendations;
    • Engineer short & long-term strategic roadmaps by applying prioritization frameworks and own end-to-end management & execution, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term growth objectives to ensure optimal allocation of investments;
    • Distill complex analyses & recommendations into highly-structured executive-ready presentations using tools like PowerPoint and influence for C-suite and VP-level leadership through data-driven storytelling, delivering persuasive recommendations that shape the strategic direction of the global organization.
