About the role and team

Working at Uber as a Senior Operations Manager means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. You will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of growth and marketplace efficiency initiatives, making big decisions without perfect information and owning the outcomes.

In this role, you’ll turn complexity into clarity at speed, navigating competing priorities and leading through influence rather than control. We’re looking for someone who is sharp, steady, and motivated by meaningful service at scale. If you think critically, move with urgency, and want to shape the future by solving what’s hard, this is where you’ll grow.

What you’ll do

  • Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities to unlock value for our marketplace, managing high-stakes investments and budget allocations with technical rigor.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders—including product, legal, and regional leadership—to align growth initiatives and move projects forward despite internal complexity.
  • Analyze high-volume datasets to identify patterns, solve messy marketplace problems, and translate quantitative findings into clear, executable action plans.
  • Own your work end-to-end, from defining a long-term strategic vision for the market to debugging operational blockers and resolving production issues when stakes are high.
  • Champion operational excellence by establishing clear performance metrics and continuously improving the efficiency of launched programs and tooling.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, business consulting, or a related fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data management skills (Excel).
  • Experience in project management and a track record of delivering complex initiatives on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams of operations specialists.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including experience with Python for data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority in a multicultural environment.
  • Deep business acumen with experience managing a P&L or large-scale promotional budgets.
