About the Role
This role will be part of the Netherlands operations team within Mobility at Uber. The Operations Manager owns country-specific business outcomes by bridging global strategy with local operational needs. You will need to develop robust and streamlined processes, work on delivering tech and product launches, ensure marketplace health, and attract, convert, engage, and retain riders and partners facing a multitude of complex needs and bottlenecks. This requires a dedication to operational excellence, a deep understanding of driver lifecycle and economics, and a customer-centric attitude.
What You'll Do:
- Problem solving: Develop and lead the implementation of local initiatives that solve messy, high-impact problems
- Scale and Optimize: Implement and scale core processes across the country and beyond, ensuring they don't just work, but excel under pressure
- Marketplace Execution: Devise and project manage marketplace, product, and incentive strategies to support business growth.
- Cross-functional collaboration and project management: Engage with a number of functions across the business - policy, communications, product, marketing, legal and customer support
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of work experience in a fast paced environment (e.g. Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking or scale-up)
- University degree
- Strong communication, analytical and project management skills required
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English is required
Bonus Points:
- Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- Project management and ability to execute quickly - Plan and project manage multiple projects, having the ability to execute promptly, pivoting where necessary, with an eye for continuous process improvement.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to rapidly changing business conditions and priorities.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work collaboratively with local, regional and global teams like policy, communications, product, marketing, legal and customer support
- Familiarity with SQL, AI or automation tools to drive efficiencies in operational and data driven work streams
