About the role

This role leads our high-stakes UKI CPG Advertising Sales and Account Management division, focused on scaling revenue for key clients. You will be responsible for defining the strategy to grow one of the fastest-moving business lines within Uber Ads, a division that connects advertisers to our highly engaged user base across Delivery and Mobility apps globally. It is a high-pressure environment where every decision directly impacts multi-million dollar client relationships and the overall success of the Ads business.

Sales at Uber means navigating intense internal and external complexity to build enduring partnerships, often without a ready-made script for success. We are looking for an accountable leader with deep commercial coaching experience and the resilience to drive consistent revenue growth from a maturing book of business. If you thrive in setting clarity amid deep ambiguity and developing a diverse team of tenacious collaborators, this is where you will make your mark.

About the Team

At Uber, we’ve spent the last three years building and scaling a fast-growing Uber Ads division focused on unlocking the next era of advertising across our global platforms. With a foundation in place, Uber Ads now empowers merchants, brands, and advertisers to connect with a highly engaged user base across our Mobility and Delivery apps in 32 markets.

The UKI CPG Ads business is a key driver of this success, helping leading brands in CPG & Retail to reach and convert customers across the Uber ecosystem. As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for a dynamic leader to take our CPG advertising efforts to new heights.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coach a large, distributed sales and account management team, providing commercial coaching and performance management to consistently hit ambitious multi-million dollar targets.
  • Define and own the UKI CPG Ads strategy, roadmapping long-term sustainable revenue growth by balancing immediate commercial needs with future cross-platform product expansion.
  • Navigate complex cross-functional alignment and tension with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Operations to champion and advocate for client needs and product features that unlock new advertiser value.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying critical resource gaps, optimizing existing sales lifecycle processes, and improving performance visibility across the organization to scale execution.
  • Cultivate resilient, long-term partnerships with C-Suite leaders at major CPG advertisers, ensuring high retention and continuously identifying incremental spend opportunities in a competitive digital landscape.
  • Articulate a clear and compelling go-to-market message, leveraging Market & Platform Expertise to position Uber Ads against competitors and secure organizational alignment on product advocacy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of advertising sales experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience of leading advertiser or account sales team for a big advertiser or at an agency.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a multi-million dollar advertising business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience, ideally at a digital media platform or at a large CPG advertiser.
  • Be customer obsessed (users and merchants) and be passionate about building great experiences for Uber users all over the world.
  • Focus on building businesses, not features. Experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics
  • Be able to work cross functionally with many other roles and stakeholders in the company
  • Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning
