About the Role
The fundamental goal of Product Operations is to ensure we build the right products and operate these products effectively to move our global business forward. As the business leader embedded with the Product team, you will lead a cross-functional team to surface key insights, prioritize product needs, and lead the global operations for product lines.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Define the operating structure and processes to implement on product strategy as an individual contributor on a highly-effective product operations team
- Maintain regular communications with key partners across the org
- Ensure functional partners are aligned on key objectives for the program/product
- Advise product teams on the global feasibility of products throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop end-to-end product rollout plans, and project-manage implementations
- Collaborate with key partners (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare the product for launch
- Track core business metrics related to the product
- Identify key problem areas and/or geographies impacted by the product post-launch
- Surface and advocate for key insights from the business to advise product improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in product operations, engineering, operations, business consulting, finance, or similar analytical roles.
- Deep analytical expertise with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in large-scale project/program management with a focus on strategic alignment and execution.
- Understanding of user experience and the ability to empathize with customers.
- Ability to work with cross-functional and global stakeholders to drive product success.
- Experience advising product teams on global feasibility throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ability to develop end-to-end product rollout plans and manage their implementation.
- Ability to coach and develop talent for more junior product operations managers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Grocery and/or Retail Catalogs
- Experience as a team leader and people manager
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and decision support.
- Experience working on global projects or in international settings, particularly within tech or product environments.
- User or market research experience to inform product improvements.
- Experience collaborating with legal, tax, policy, and support teams to prepare products for launch.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and advocate for key insights to drive product improvements.
- High motivation and a desire to learn and grow, demonstrating a self-starter attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and focus on high-impact initiatives to deliver results.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
