Senior Regional Operations Manager, Courier Pricing - Marketplace
Uber
Operations
Amsterdam, Netherlands
About the Role
On the Uber EMEA Delivery Regional Operations team, we serve the business by partnering with Product, Local Operations, and Cross-functional partners to build and scale impactful Products and data-driven Processes across EMEA.
You will be joining the Marketplace Efficiency team which is responsible for building Business frameworks, Processes and scaling Products across Courier Pricing & Incentives, Reliability Management, Dispatch & Logistics, and Timeliness, to make sure that all actors find value in the platform (Earners, Merchants, Consumers, and Uber itself). In that sense, the team drives key business metrics on Financial Performance, Courier Earnings, Consumer Experience and overall Reliability of the Marketplace.
What you'll do:
- Own Courier Pricing Operations Across EMEA: Manage the rollout, configuration, and ongoing optimization of courier pricing models across 15+ markets — working with Product and Engineering to define requirements, launch experiments, and scale pricing features while navigating market-specific regulatory and policy constraints.
- Manage Courier Payouts and Marketplace Investment: Monitor and manage courier payouts across the region, building analytical frameworks to optimize marketplace investment while protecting courier earnings and experience.
- Build Insights That Drive Marketplace Performance: Develop dashboards, analytical models, and reporting frameworks that turn complex marketplace data into clear, actionable recommendations — enabling the team and leadership to make faster, better-informed decisions at scale.
- Set Regional Pricing Strategy and Drive Local Execution: Define the courier pricing strategy for EMEA, aligning with Product, Finance, and local market teams to ensure priorities are clear, execution is consistent, and local market dynamics are reflected in regional plans.
- Scale Processes and Operational Frameworks: Design and own repeatable processes for pricing launches, market migrations, experiment readouts, and weekly reporting — reducing manual overhead for local operations teams and enabling the team to manage more markets with less friction.
What you'll need:
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Operations, Product Operations / Management, Management Consulting, or Investment Banking with a strong analytical background.
- Excellent interpersonal, and team member management skills with an ability to form long term relationships in diverse, cross-functional, and global environments.
- Demonstrable project management skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of marketplace dynamics, adapting to a constantly evolving work environment, in the context of a fast-growing company.
- Advanced analytical skills in SQL and Excel/G-Sheets/Tableau. Exposure or interest in Python or other statistical programming languages is a plus.
- A creative attitude that understands and enjoys experimental design and statistical methods.
