About the Role

Sitting within US&C Mobility Central Operations, the Business Operations (BizOps) team owns building scalable analytical products and business processes, providing data & insights to Uber's hardest problems at scale.

The US&C Mobility Central Ops team leads the vision, strategy, and execution of key initiatives to ensure continued growth of Uber's mobility business.

As a BizOps Senior Strategic Operations Associate, you will work with cross-functional operations stakeholders to deliver on key projects to support the roll-out of the BizOps project portfolio across US&C. You will design solutions to business problems, deep-dive into data to form strong perspectives and make recommendations, and streamline business processes to increase efficiency.

They are analytically minded, organized and possess a high level of stakeholder management skills to ensure the best outcomes for assigned tasks. Because their scope will range across various business topics, they thrive in diverse environments and can handle the associated ambiguity accordingly.

What You'll Do

  • Manage key BizOps projects with the goal to create efficiency, standardization and automation
  • Analyze data sets to understand the scope of business problems
  • Formulate, implement and monitor the rollout of our operational strategies, frameworks, tactics and processes
  • Deep dive into Uber’s operations data to understand the landscape of and dependency within business problems
  • Represent the team in cross-functional forums, collaborating closely with other functions within Ops and Uber, including Marketing, CRM, Community Operations, Product and others
  • Proactively identify problems that scale, independently formulate solutions and operationalise initiatives to further BizOps within US&C Mobility
  • Help problem-solve complex business problems and act as a thought partner US&C Ops

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, product, strategy or consulting
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from ideation to completion
  • Proficient in SQL, including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and preparing datasets for analysis
  • Experienced in building clear, interactive dashboards that translate data into actionable insights using modern BI tools
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills - you are able to rally people behind a common goal and easily generate consensus if you’re facing push back
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment. You are comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a constantly-changing work environment.
  • Strategic & operational problem solving and creativity - you will design solutions that scale to multiple markets
  • Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgement through strong analytical thinking and experimentation

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
