About the Role

At Uber, we believe that electrification and renewable systems are no longer a “nice-to-have”, but a climate imperative and a platform shift that will reshape the economics, experience, and infrastructure underpinning our next chapter across Rides, Delivery, and Freight.

This is a unique opportunity to join the core Electrification and Sustainability team focused on accelerating the platform shift to EVs. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end programs focused on lowering EV costs, improving access, removing adoption friction, and making Electric products available to more riders.

We are confident that Electric is the platform of the future for two reasons:

  • Economics: Over time and at scale, EVs – and then AVs – deliver the lowest total cost structure in terms of capital and operating expenses. We’re not there everywhere yet, but the direction is clear.
  • Customer experience: EVs/AVs are inherently a better product – they provide quieter, smoother, safer, and increasingly software-defined riding experiences.

Your role will be to find ways to make this come to life globally and help us make Uber the best platform for EVs.

Note: This role will be hybrid based in our New York City office

What You’ll Do:

  1. Lead global strategic projects on electrification and sustainability end-to-end, partnering with regional and cross-functional teams
  2. Partner with E&S leadership to shape strategy and identify opportunities to accelerate EV adoption
  3. Build and deepen partnerships across the EV ecosystem (OEMs, used EV players, financiers) to lower costs and expand access
  4. Scope and perform analytical work to inform strategy and drive key electrification initiatives
  5. Manage Uber’s global electric product portfolio (e.g., Uber Electric, Comfort Electric)
  6. Design and operationalize playbooks to scale successful pilots into global programs
  7. Engage with external stakeholders, policymakers, key opinion leaders as needed

Basic Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or related roles (international experience a plus)
  2. Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Domain knowledge of the EV ecosystem, including key players and business models, vehicle fundamentals, charging infrastructure, market dynamics, and policy landscape
  2. Strong business acumen, with the ability to link operational decisions to business outcomes, evaluate trade-offs, and drive impact
  3. Track record of building and scaling 0→1 programs or products
  4. High ownership and agency; proactively identifies opportunities, navigates ambiguity, and drives work forward independently
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop new frameworks, and incorporate cross-functional input
  6. Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and align diverse, cross-functional teams
  7. Strong operator: prioritizes effectively, operates in fast-paced environments, articulates clear vision, and drives execution to deliver results
  8. Strong communication skills, with experience presenting complex ideas to senior internal and external audiences
  9. [Nice-to-have] Proficiency in SQL
