Marketplace Operations Manager, Uber for Business

About the Role
You will need to deliver on business riders’ and business eaters’ high reliability and service quality expectations, while maintaining fair competitive pricing.
You will need to acquire a deep understanding of business users’ expectations and of the Uber marketplace across: (i) core pricing, (ii) pricing algorithms, (iii) matching algorithms, (iv) rider promotions, and (v) driver incentives.
The U4B Marketplace will need to build a capability to operate our B4B marketplace at scale, as you will need to manage local price/reliability tradeoffs in thousands of geos, while remaining a lean global team. This will require you to understand how Uber runs the B2C marketplace and where it requires B2B adaptation, and how to operationalize the adaptation in a systematic scalable manner.
What You'll Do
- Drive strategy for trip pricing, reliability, end-user promotions and driver/courier incentives
- Design bespoke solutions for challenging marketplaces problems
- Collaborate with Strategy & Planning, Finance, Sales Operations on investment and capital allocation decisions
- Collaborate with Product and the regional B2C Marketplace Operations teams to reflect the U4B strategy in Uber’s marketplace algorithms and B2C marketplace processes
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Enablement to explain Uber’s pricing and promotions to clients
What You'll Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in marketplace businesses or e-commerce
- You are a systems thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
- You are a strong communicator and a simplifier
- Track record of working with data to enable business decision-making and strong analytical skills. SQL is an asset. Python is an asset but not expected
