This role sits within our EMEA Retail Central Operations team based in Amsterdam but is fully dedicated to Poland. This structure combines deep local market accountability with the leverage of central expertise, best practice sharing, and scalable operational design across EMEA.

As the Poland Merchant Operations Manager, you will be the dedicated owner for all merchant operational performance in the market. You will obsess over merchant quality, reliability, experience, and growth, partnering closely with local Poland teams across Retail, as well as Commercial stakeholders and Uber Eats Operations teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent Poland Merchant Operations in regional forums, providing direct input into Operations and Product strategy based on market performance, merchant needs, and frontline insights.
  • Merchant Enablement and Operational Readiness: Own pre-launch, launch, and post-launch hypercare processes for Poland merchants, ensuring correct configurations, catalog quality, operational setup, and compliance requirements are met. Build scalable processes that enable merchants to operate effectively from day one while balancing speed and long-term operational health.
  • Performance and Reliability Management: Own merchant operational KPIs in Poland, including quality, reliability, cancellations, and availability. Analyze performance trends, identify root causes of defects, define clear improvement plans, and execute initiatives that drive measurable and sustained performance gains.
  • Commercial Partnership and Growth Enablement: Partner closely with Poland Commercial and Account Management teams to unlock merchant growth. Identify operational barriers limiting performance, translate merchant pain points into scalable solutions, and support structured performance reviews and action planning for strategic accounts.
  • Merchant Product Expertise and Best Practices: Develop deep understanding in the Grocery and Retail merchant product suite, including Uber Eats Manager, Orders, and Inventory and Catalog platforms.
  • Identify adoption gaps, drive best practice implementation, and partner with Ops and Product teams to create and/or improve tools and workflows for the Poland market.
  • You will serve as the operational backbone of the Poland merchant ecosystem, ensuring we meet the day-to-day operational needs of our merchants while enabling them to operate reliably and successfully on our platform.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in business operations, consulting, analytics, technology, banking, or a related field
  • Problem Solving: Strong structured thinking with the ability to break down complex operational challenges, prioritize what matters most, and define clear, logical solutions in ambiguous environments
  • Execution and bias to action: High ownership and urgency with the ability to move from plan to action quickly, drive initiatives through to completion, and deliver measurable results
  • Analytical Mindset: Experience working with complex datasets using SQL, Excel/Google Sheets (or equivalent tools) to derive insights, validate real-world observations, and synthesize recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaling Operational Processes: Experience designing and executing high impact operational processes at scale
  • External Partner/Client/Account management: Experience and comfort working with external partners is a plus, as you will closely partner with and enable Commercial teams to ensure merchant partners succeed on our platform
