About the Role

The EMEA Grocery & Retail (Uber Retail) business is entering an exciting new phase of growth. In addition to operating across 11+ established EMEA markets, we are preparing for multiple waves of expansion across several new markets in the region. Our EMEA Grocery & Retail Central Operations team supports the operations fueling this growth, ensuring we launch new markets with strong operational foundations and scale existing ones with quality and reliability.

As a Launch & Expansion Catalog Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in enabling new and expanding grocery and retail merchants in our new expansion markets onto the Uber Retail platform. You will ensure their catalog, inventory, and order management systems are integrated accurately and reliably from day one, while also maintaining the ongoing health and performance of these integrations post-launch. Grocery and retail integrations are inherently complex. Merchants may manage thousands of products, high order volumes, and hundreds of thousands of real-time inventory signals. Your role is to translate this complexity into seamless system integrations that allow merchants to operate efficiently while delivering a reliable, accurate, and high-quality experience for customers.

What You'll Do:

You will primarily be thinking through and driving for our new expansion markets 1/ How we bring merchants and their 000’s of products and order systems onto the platform (e.g. through merchant integrations), and 2/ How we manage, maintain, and ensure the ongoing health of these integrations at scale (e.g. how products are displayed to consumers and how orders flow seamlessly to merchants):

  • Catalog & Integration Onboarding: Manage the different pathways we enable merchants to integrate their catalog, inventory, and order management systems onto the platform, focusing on quality, reliability and speed.
  • Integration Health & Reliability: Design, monitor and maintain processes to ensure the accuracy, health, and reliability of product data and order flows across the platform. Identify and resolve root causes of integration-driven issues such as pricing discrepancies, inventory mismatches, or order failures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial and Integration Engineering teams to integrate merchants’ catalog, inventory, and order systems with Uber’s platform, ensuring technical setups align with business goals and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Catalog Quality & Performance: Monitor and improve how merchant catalogs perform on the platform beyond the technical integration itself. Assess catalog completeness, SKU coverage, accuracy, pricing integrity, and overall selection quality. Identify gaps such as missing SKUs, inaccurate attributes, or poor-performing assortments, and drive improvements to ensure we deliver the quality and reliability customers expect.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in a related field (e.g. business operations, integration operations, tech, analytics, consulting, etc.)
  • Experience working in technical or system-based environments (e.g. APIs, data feeds, system integrations), with the ability to translate technical concepts into structured operational actions
  • Strong analytical mindset and business acumen; experience using SQL and advanced Excel
  • Highly collaborative; comfortable partnering across multiple stakeholder groups to drive shared outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with API integrations, catalog/product/inventory systems, or order management systems
  • Prior Grocery, Retail, Marketplace, or FMCG experience (particularly in catalog/inventory management or operational integrations)
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, automation or scripting tools (e.g. Python, Google Apps Script, VBA, etc.) is a plus
