About the Role

Partner Management at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don’t come with a script. It’s not about pushing a product—it’s about building long-term partnerships in a fast-changing environment.

As a Partner Manager for our Retail vertical in Poland, you are essentially joining a startup within a global giant. We are building the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food—groceries, essentials, and more. This role matters because you are the architect of this new category, responsible for making retail partners successful on our platform. You will need to make smart decisions with imperfect information and own the outcomes end-to-end. If you’re resilient, resourceful, and energized by the messy reality of doing big things from scratch, this is where you’ll grow. If you prefer a polished playbook and predictable days, this likely isn't the right fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and grow long-term partnerships by deeply understanding what matters most to our retail partners—from large grocery chains to local essentials stores—and helping them scale their business.

  • Navigate ambiguity and internal complexity to unlock value for clients, often figuring out the path forward when there is no established process.

  • Manage growth plans with urgency and discipline, overseeing everything from same-location sales growth to launching new business models like "dark stores."

  • Adapt your approach based on market dynamics and imperfect information; you’ll need to be comfortable shifting priorities as the retail landscape evolves.

  • Collaborate across Operations, Marketing, Product, and Legal to resolve blockers, influence without authority, and deliver solutions that work for both the partner and Uber.

  • Communicate clearly and negotiate confidently, staying resilient through tough conversations and high-pressure growth targets.

  • Track the details and follow through on promises, using data to identify patterns and ensure our partners are meeting their objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, consulting, business development, or account management.

  • Professional fluency in Polish and English to effectively lead local partnerships and collaborate with global teams.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and data analysis to drive commercial decisions.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and the ability to pull your own data to identify growth opportunities.

  • Systems Thinking: The ability to understand how local partner decisions impact the broader Uber ecosystem.

  • Resilience: A proven track record of staying steady and productive through constant change and high-ambiguity situations.

  • Negotiation expertise: Experience navigating complex deal terms and pricing pushbacks to create mutual value.
