About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Ads Manager team, you will play a pivotal role in building, scaling, and evolving Uber’s advertising platform. You will operate at the intersection of product vision and technical execution, designing systems that power advertiser experiences across Uber’s ecosystem while supporting meaningful revenue growth.
In this role, you will lead the development of highly available, reliable, and performance-critical systems that operate at Uber’s global scale. You will partner closely with product management, data science, design, and multiple engineering teams to deliver robust platform capabilities that enable a wide range of advertising features. Your work will directly influence how advertisers create, manage, and optimize campaigns, and how internal teams build on top of the Ads platform.
You will tackle complex technical challenges across distributed systems, data pipelines, and user-facing workflows. Beyond execution, you will set technical direction, raise the bar on engineering quality, and help shape long-term architecture decisions. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence a critical growth area for Uber while helping define the future of digital advertising on the platform.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$232,000 per year - USD$258,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$232,000 per year - USD$258,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
