About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Marketing Manager to negotiate, manage and execute local marketing campaigns, particularly those involving high value IP partnerships. In this role you will manage Uber’s most strategic commercial marketing partnerships while simultaneously leading the strategy and execution of brand campaigns that leverage strong IP and drive growth for various products and regions. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Experiential and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the organization, including Media, Business Development, Operations, Comms, and Data Science. What You'll Do

  • Partnership Strategy & Negotiation: Lead the strategic evaluation of new partnership opportunities while negotiating complex marketing commitments and budget allocations to ensure favorable deal terms
  • Partnership Strategy & Execution Oversee and manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure mutual benefits are maximized, and partner expectations are exceeded, exploring opportunities for expansion where possible
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for local integrated campaigns around each partnership. This includes writing creative and media briefs, overseeing creative development to ensure the highest caliber of work, and ensuring campaigns launch on time.
  • Agency & Creative Management: Lead day-to-day relationships with external partners and work directly with creative and media agencies to build breakthrough, consumer-centric work that delivers on our partnership ambitions.
  • Measurement & Insights: Define and measurement strategies to measure efficacy of partnerships and marketing campaigns.
  • Business Integration: Serve as a strategic partner to Operations and Business Development teams, bringing a brand/consumer lens to business discussions to ensure marketing drives local priorities.
  • Budget Management: Oversee significant budgets for partnerships and associated local campaigns.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of consumer marketing, partnership marketing, or related experience with a recognized/leading brand
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or similar, and a demonstrated ability in quantitative fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of negotiating and executing upon multi-year partnerships with major sports leagues and clubs.
  • Experience in delivering successful and breakthrough creative, with a high bar for quality, productivity, and delivering results.
  • Experience working directly with and managing external creative and media agencies
  • Consumer obsessed, with a drive to continuously learn more about our core consumers, identify how our products meet their needs, and understand how to most effectively share our brand message with them.
  • Strong data and analytical skills. Experience in data-led decision making; you should be able to interpret extensive data and identify the opportunities for growth and optimization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership.

  • Collaboration and the ability to work with a large number of teams across multiple countries, time-zones, backgrounds and functions.

  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items and a desire to create and build new processes to enable organizational efficiencies.
  • A hard-working, thorough, organized, and motivated self-starter, constantly striving to improve their skills and look for ways to contribute to the team. Thrives on challenges and can stay calm in complicated/complex situations.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$132,000 per year - USD$147,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
