As an Application Developer on our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team, you will support the technical development and optimization of our financial planning and allocation models. You will be a key contributor to the maintenance of our Oracle EPBCS and Oracle PCMCS environments, ensuring that both high-level budgeting and granular cost distributions are accurate, scalable, and efficient.
What You'll Do
- Requirements Translation: Act as a primary technical point of contact for Finance users; participate in discovery sessions to gather business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for the broader engineering team.
- Develop and Configure: Build and maintain business rules, web forms, and allocation logic within both Oracle EPBCS and PCMCS to support global budgeting and cost transparency.
- Bridge Communication: Work closely with upstream and downstream Engineering teams to ensure EPM data integrations are aligned with Uber's core financial data architecture.
- Technical Support & Advocacy: Assist in the maintenance of EPM modules, advocating for user-centric design while ensuring system performance and logic consistency.
- Data Integration: Support and monitor data flows between Oracle Cloud, our data warehouse, and other source systems using Data Management and EPM Automate.
Testing & Documentation: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain clear technical documentation to ensure long-term system maintainability and user understanding.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or an MBA.
Direct experience with both Oracle EPBCS and Oracle PCMCS, with the ability to navigate and configure both planning modules and allocation engines.
- Solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and cost distribution methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle's EPM Cloud suite.
- Experience contributing to at least one full-cycle EPM implementation or migration project.
- Proficiency in writing business rules and familiarity with Groovy scripting.
- Technical experience with EPM Automate, SQL, and managing ASO/BSO cubes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex calculation logic across different EPM applications.
- Experience working within a global delivery model, collaborating with teams across different regions (USA/EMEA).
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$153,000 per year - USD$170,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
