About the Role
The Head of Expansion is a key leadership role within the Commercial Excellence portfolio, reporting to the Rest of EMEA Expansion Lead. This role is instrumental in driving strategic growth across Switzerland and RoEMEA, with a specific focus on expanding our merchant base and deepening existing relationships.
You will lead a tiered team structure comprising sub-leads across different segments, along with account managers who execute on the ground. The mission of the Eats team is to serve as a reliable growth engine for our merchant partners. With Switzerland and RoEMEA experiencing rapid development across diverse and dynamic markets, this role plays a critical part in identifying and unlocking high-impact opportunities for sustainable growth.
You will be responsible for critical performance indicators that directly influence the team’s P&L and success metrics. This is a high-exposure role, offering cross-functional collaboration across multiple work-streams and markets, and the opportunity to build a broad commercial skill set.
What You'll Do
- Inspire and develop your team and hire world class managers and leaders to Uber
- Develop and execute on our account management strategy to scale our existing business and introduce a range of new products (e.g. martech and advertising products, white-label delivery)
- Build out KPIs, metrics, and processes to build a cohesive commercial organization, driving consistency and leveraging best practice globally while being responsive to customer needs locally
- Work closely in a matrixed environment with local operations, marketing, strategy, analytics, design, engineering, finance and other senior leadership in the region and at HQ to set clear targets for regional strategy.
- Oversee Industry dynamics stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour in online commerce. Be an industry influencer and ambassador of quick commerce delivery.
What You'll Need
- A minimum of 7 years of robust B2B experience building long-term commercial relationships, ideally across both across SMB and Large Enterprise Accounts
- Proven ability to develop and implement high-impact commercial strategies that accelerate business expansion and revenue growth
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire and coach teams to achieve commercial goals.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen, negotiation and comfortable with analysing big volumes of data and exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills. Ability to prioritise, scope and deliver programs and projects.
