About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and strategic storyteller to join Uber Advertising as a Global Narrative Manager. In this high-impact role, you will help shape our advertising positioning and drive the go-to-market strategy globally.

Reporting to the Head of Narrative Strategy, you’ll develop compelling and differentiated messaging that resonates with advertisers across diverse industries. You are someone who thrives on connecting data with creativity — crafting holistic narratives that help brands understand why Uber Advertising is uniquely positioned to help them grow.

Your deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, full-funnel strategy, and cross-channel storytelling will be essential. This is an ideal role for a proactive, insights-driven communicator who is energized by ambiguity and inspired to help build something new in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will likely focus on one of our core advertising verticals:

  • Endemic: Restaurants, Grocery, Retail/CPG

  • Non-Endemic: Tech/Telco, Finance, Travel, Luxury, or Beauty

Your work will directly support Uber’s global Advertising Sales and Account Management teams — helping unlock scalable, sustainable revenue growth.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Vertical Narratives & Positioning

Craft compelling industry stories and messaging toolkits that define Uber Advertising’s unique value across verticals. Adapt messaging for agencies and advertisers, aligning to business needs and cultural context.

  • Lead with Insights

Partner with Measurement Science and Insights teams to embed meaningful, data-driven insights into narratives. Identify trends, pain points, and client objectives to inform powerful storytelling.

  • Drive Go-to-Market Strategy

Influence how we launch new products and scale our global positioning. Create sales enablement assets such as decks, toolkits, one-pagers, case studies, and talking points.

  • Ensure Global Relevance & Local Resonance

Build with a global-first mindset while adapting for local markets. Collaborate with regional Partner Solutions teams and marketers to localize content and oversee translation efforts.

  • Activate Messaging Across Channels

Ensure consistency across every touchpoint — from client meetings to events and digital content — driving awareness and excitement around our offering.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally

Work seamlessly with global and regional teams, including Sales, Product, Design, Comms, and Marketing. Integrate diverse inputs into cohesive, high-impact narratives.

  • Uphold Brand Identity

Partner with design and copy teams to maintain a consistent tone, visual style, and brand voice across materials and presentations.

  • Advance Thought Leadership

Create executive-level narratives for client summits, events, and industry moments — positioning Uber as an innovative and influential advertising partner.

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in advertising, media, or technology — in roles like ads marketing, sales enablement, product marketing, or account strategy.

  • Strong grasp of digital advertising, self-serve platforms, and full-funnel performance marketing.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop narratives and materials that influence decisions and drive commercial outcomes.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information and turn insights into compelling stories and visuals.

  • Experience working in highly cross-functional, matrixed environments.

  • Proficiency in using storytelling and design to drive clarity and engagement.

  • Comfort with adopting new technologies — including AI tools — to enhance content development and workflows.

  • A self-starter mentality: adaptable, proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting specific advertising verticals (e.g., Restaurants, CPG, Finance, Travel)

  • Fluency in additional languages, especially Spanish, French, or Brazilian Portuguese
