About the Role

Uber Eats is looking for a Commercial Leader to drive growth for Uber Direct in Taiwan, managing the end-to-end merchant portfolio. You will lead an account management team responsible for establishing impactful partnerships, negotiating favorable commercials, and accelerating merchant growth through best-in-class account management.

You’ll also act as a strategic thought partner to the GM of Uber Direct, contributing to the development of the winning strategy and Go-To-Market (GTM) plan.

This role demands a well-rounded combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and people leadership. We work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, so adaptability and the ability to pivot between long-term vision and short-term execution are key.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Value Proposition Design: Define Uber Direct’s unique selling points to differentiate in a commoditized and competitive landscape.

  • Pipeline Management: Guide the team in prioritizing merchant acquisition based on growth potential and financial sustainability. Directly engage C-level stakeholders when needed to advance strategic deals.

  • Merchant Growth: Set up standards and growth levers to position Uber Direct as the preferred merchant partner. Ensure a seamless and reliable end-to-end experience.

  • Team Management: Lead a high-performing team to meet ambitious growth targets. Collaborate cross-functionally with local, regional, and global stakeholders to eliminate blockers and meet commercial goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in start-ups, operations, strategy, analytics, tech, or consulting.

  • Proven sales and commercial expertise, with experience in building creative commercial strategies and leading teams to win and renew high-value deals under competitive pressure.

  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and align teams, especially in disruptive or rapidly evolving environments.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.

  • Strong analytical capabilities (proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching or scaling a 0-to-1 new business, either in a corporate or startup setting.

  • Background in strategic consulting and commercial deal negotiation.

  • Professional experience in at least two of the following industries:

    • E-commerce

    • Retail

    • SaaS

    • Logistics/Supply Chain
