Join us in using data, bold thinking, and a commitment to innovation to help clear the way for millions of Americans to achieve more.

About the Role

The Sr Personal Loans Strategy Manager owns Happen Bank's Online & Mobile Banking digital lending channel, driving the strategy, performance, and end-to-end execution behind Personal Loan originations across our member segments. This role manages the channel roadmap independently—spanning core offer programs like TopUp, Refinance, and Pre-Approved/Prescreen, as well as new growth initiatives—and is accountable for the quality and results of everything that runs through it.

The ideal candidate takes full ownership of outcomes, operates with a high degree of independence, and brings a test-and-learn mindset to a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Online & Mobile Banking channel end-to-end—strategy, roadmap, and execution—driving Personal Loan originations and growth across member segments
  • Manage scoped channel initiatives across core offer programs such as TopUp, Refinance, and Pre-Approved/Prescreen, as well as new digital growth opportunities, owning the quality of outputs from planning through delivery
  • Apply data to evaluate channel performance, connect results to broader Personal Loans goals, and surface insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Risk, Technology, and Finance as the accountable business owner of the digital channel, aligning cross-functional partners around a shared roadmap and goals
  • Design and run experiments to validate hypotheses, learn from outcomes, and continuously improve channel performance, sharing effective approaches and results with peers
  • Drive adoption of AI tools and approaches within the channel's scope of work, building judgment around where they add value and where successful approaches can be scaled
  • Identify and test new approaches to channel-level opportunities and challenges across eligibility, pricing, user experience, and personalization

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, consulting, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Track record of independently owning a scoped area of the business and managing priorities and workload with minimal guidance
  • Strong understanding of unsecured lending unit economics and digital or online banking channels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of applying data and experimentation to drive decisions and improve outcomes
  • You have hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate your work and improve output quality, and you're comfortable showing others how. You see AI as part of owning your domain, not just a nice-to-have, while remaining thoughtful about its limitations and where human judgment matters most, especially where lending decisions and sensitive data are involved
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and adapt your communication and approach to the needs of different stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely convey insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, ownership, and follow-through

Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools
