Job Description
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Tax will play a critical leadership role in the finance organization, overseeing all global tax strategy, planning, compliance, and operations. This includes corporate income tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, transfer pricing, and tax technology. The VP will ensure accurate tax reporting, proactively manage the company’s global tax position, and support strategic initiatives across the business.
This individual will partner closely with senior leadership to align the company’s tax strategy with its long‑term goals, optimize the global tax structure, and ensure compliance in a dynamic and growing SaaS environment. The VP will serve as the primary liaison with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring adherence to ASC 740, SOX, and global statutory requirements.
A successful candidate will bring deep expertise in SaaS tax considerations, international tax planning, and public company requirements. This leader will manage a globally distributed team, scale processes to support growth, and anticipate the tax implications of new business models, markets, and product offerings.
Major Responsibilities
Serve as the executive leader for all global tax functions, including tax planning, tax accounting, compliance, and operations.
Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740, partnering with the CAO and external auditors to support public company reporting.
Develop and execute global tax strategies that support business objectives, optimize the company’s effective tax rate, and ensure long-term tax efficiency.
Lead all aspects of global direct and indirect tax compliance, ensuring timely filings and adherence to local statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Build and enhance SOX-compliant processes and controls across all tax-related areas.
Oversee transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and intercompany policies to support a scalable global operating model.
Drive tax technology and automation initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
Advise executive leadership on tax implications of strategic initiatives, including international expansion, legal entity restructuring, pricing strategies, and M&A due diligence and integration.
Lead global tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
Deliver clear, actionable tax insights to internal stakeholders, supporting forecasting, planning, and investor communications.
Develop, mentor, and scale a high-performing global tax team, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified
The ideal candidate is a strategic, forward-thinking tax leader with deep experience in global tax strategy, tax accounting, and compliance within a high-growth SaaS or technology environment. You bring a combination of technical expertise, operational excellence, and executive-level communication. Specifically, you will possess:
12+ years of progressive tax experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles within SaaS or technology companies.
Proven experience in a publicly traded company, including SOX compliance and ASC 740 tax accounting.
Strong technical expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international taxation, including transfer pricing, indirect taxes, and cross-border structures.
Demonstrated success building and scaling global tax teams and processes.
Experience with ERP and tax technology systems (e.g., NetSuite, OneSource, Alteryx, Avalara).
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders in clear, concise language.
Track record of driving operational improvements, automation, and scalable tax processes.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, JD, or Master’s in Taxation required.

JOB REQ COMPENSATION RANGE
$215,000 - $358,000The base salary range for this role is shown above. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s discretionary bonus plan, commission plan, and/or equity plan, depending on role.
