Responsibilities

Design, build, and test features for the front-end in addition to lambda functions
Create reusable code abstractions
Interface with various APIs
Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers
Participate in code review and QA
Monitor and review events that impact site availability/performance and suggest and implement solutions
Mentor other engineers and lead projects on your own or with colleagues

Requirements

Proficient in both written and verbal use of the English language
5+ years experience building client-side applications
Deep understanding of ReactJS
Experience interfacing with microservices via GraphQL and REST APIs
Knowledge working with AWS Lambda
Expert-level knowledge of CSS
Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jasmine, etc
Ability to build responsive UIs from tiny screens to huge displays
Awareness of cross-browser inconsistencies and client-side performance
A passion for building good looking and performant UIs
Working experience with git,, git-flow, and deployment strategies
Strong communication skills and not afraid to ask questions
Interacting with Global teams of both engineers and stakeholders

Nice to have qualifications

Experience with React Hooks
Familiarity with scrum or other agile development practices
You’ve open sourced something that people are actively using
Experience with pair programming
