Senior Director of Product Management
Product · Full-time
San Francisco, CA, USA
Affinity is an AI-first CRM for private capital that helps dealmakers find, manage, and close more deals by using the power of their network. Investors, dealmakers, and operators rely on us to turn relationship signals into action.
As our Senior Director of Product Management, you'll lead our entire product management team. You'll own how the team operates, how it executes, and how it levels up on the PM craft especially through AI fluency. You’ll partner closely with Build leadership to shape what Affinity becomes over the next several years. You’ll report directly to the SVP of Product.
This is a pivotal moment for Affinity. Through this year, we’ve evolved our CRM to become a system of action, with agents and AI running now through the core of the product. We have a strong, senior team working on problems that matter, and we’re looking to bring on a PM leader with a strong point of view on craft, on team, and how the discipline itself is evolving.
What you'll do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers plus our product analyst. Most are staff or principal and operate as leaders in their own space.
Own the PM operating cadence: roadmap and execution reviews, planning cycles, prioritization, and the triad model with engineering and design.
Set the bar for PM craft at Affinity. Define what good looks like across discovery, prioritization, scoping, delivery, and organizational influence, and hold the team to it.
Lead how the team continues to grow on AI fluency. Our team already leverages AI for prototyping, rapid analysis, creating PRDs, generating updates, and submitting their own PRs. You’ll continue to develop team-wide practices and lead by example.
Partner with engineering, design, and product marketing leadership on the operating model, quality, and delivery predictability across the product surface.
Translate strategy into an executable plan. Ensure clear priorities and alignment across initiatives, roadmaps, team-level strategies, and the company & product strategy.
Build the team's strategic muscle: sharper metrics, impact modelling, and a stronger habit of tying product work to business outcomes.
Hire as we grow, and establish a culture that both attracts and develops strong PM talent
Operate as a senior leader at Affinity, contributing to strategic planning beyond your own function.
What we're looking for
10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years leading and developing high-performing PM teams. You've managed leads or principal-level PMs.
Genuine energy for evolving how PM teams operate. Team, culture, craft, and cadence are the parts of leadership you find most interesting.
A strategic mindset. You can connect PM decisions to business outcomes, weigh trade-offs across short and long horizons, and influence company and product strategy.
A track record of building teams that execute well. You've raised the bar on how a team works and can point to what changed.
A clear point of view on how product management is changing with AI, and evidence you've applied it to your own work and your team's.
Experience in B2B or enterprise software with professional users. You understand workflow complexity, data quality expectations, and stakes of building for professional users.
Comfort with pace and ambiguity. We're a profitable company in the middle of a transformation, and you're steady when priorities evolve with new learnings.
Excellent written and verbal communication. You can rally a team, influence peers, and represent product management across the company.
Directness paired with real care for people. You give honest feedback, build trust quickly, and grow the people around you.
Nice to have: experience with private capital, financial services, or another domain where relationships and data are the product.
